Old-timers and not so old-timers will recall when John Fox of the Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin would have weekly predictions of most of the big-time college and local high school football games. It was certainly a topic of Friday Morning conversation around many water coolers for decades. Sadly to us readers - but well earned - John retired and so did that tradition, as his successors at the Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin did not follow suit with weekly predictions.

I am no John Fox.

However, the last several years at an online high school football forum where people from most of the upstate regions of NY politely discuss the game, there has been a fad of weekly predictions of games in their sections by many of the regulars.

I have been one of those and seeing that I have carried near an 80% correct total for those years, I have decided to also put my weekly predictions of all the Section 4 games here. Of course this probably means I will get hit with rotten tomatoes at some games and have even less odds of winning any 50-50s if attending a game where I picked that home team to lose, but I have stocked up on the Tide laundry detergent and Shout stain remover and am ready to give it a go.
